The fashion industry devours one-forth of chemicals produced worldwide. The creation of one cotton T-shirt requires a third of a pound of lab-concocted fertilisers and 25.3 kilowatts of electricity, and the WWF has stated it can take up to 2,700 litres of water to grow the cotton.

The World Bank estimates that the fashion sector is responsible for nearly 20 percent of all industrial water pollution annually.
In the USA every year 14 million tons of clothes is thrown away. In the UE every year 5.8 milion tons of clothes is thrown away.
Worldwide, we jettison 2.1 billion tons of fashion annually.
